Global Technologist for Pulp, Recycling or Energy Technology (m/f/d)

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

  • Take on a global key role in the continuous improvement and development of new production methods & processes in Pulp, Recycling or Energy technology
  • As an expert for production technologies, you will lead/support feasibility studies, find best practices and define standards for technological processes and operational procedures
  • Watch external technology developments, forecast future trends & developments through global technology scouting and drive/support internal technology developments in cooperation with Global Research and Global Engineering
  • As part of the Global Pulp, Recycling & Energy Technology team you maintain technology networks with the production sites and support the local site technology team in implementing new processes & troubleshooting (in form of short term business travel assignments if required)
  • Conduct technology benchmarking amongst the pulp productions sites in cooperation with local experts and define technology standards where sensible
  • Drive/Support continuous improvement processes with standardized methods (Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma) and take over the management of global technology projects

Our expectations for this exciting role

  • University degree with focus on chemical engineering, process engineering, technical chemistry
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the industry, ideally in pulp production as well as engineering experience
  • Profound project & process management skills; ideally experience in leading global project groups
  • Proactive team player with very good communication & analytical skills and a solution- oriented workstyle
  • Innovative thinker who enjoys (re)designing sustainable processes and implementing ideas
  • Very good command of English (German is a plus) & willingness to travel worldwide

The gross salary for this position according to the collective agreement in the chemical industry is € 56.000 - € 75.000, with the willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience
