Please note: this role is based on a limited contract (24 months) and for 19 hours per week (50%).

Group Chemical Management Specialist | Part-time (f/m/x)

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

  • You will lead on developing the Chemical Management Standard (CMS) and supporting its implementation roadmap at all sites
  • You will support chemical-related performance reporting across all sites based on the Lenzing internal chemical database, and reporting related to other regulative requirements
  • You will improve on the existing Group CMS and related processes, including its integration into the management programs of the Environment, Product Safety, and Health & Safety departments
  • You will coordinate functions within the wider QESH team, bringing the various teams into alignment on chemical-related topics
  • You will provide support on chemical-related regulatory topics – both internally and externally

Our expectations for this exciting role

  • You hold an advanced degree in Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Management, or similar; having conducted research in analytical or environmental chemistry is a plus
  • You have sound knowledge of chemical management, as well as environmental issues (eg common waste gas; waste water treatment processes) and related regulations, such as REACH
  • You are good at networking and interdisciplinary teamwork; and you are skilled at managing demand & expectations
  • You have great research & analysis skills; you are good at planning, organising and executing programs and projects; and you are forward-thinking and solution-oriented
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English; additionally, proficiency in any of the following would be an advantage: German, Chinese, Bahasa, or Thai.
  • You have experience with business SAP and other IT tools

The monthly gross salary for this position is according to collective agreement in the chemical industry based on 38 working hours/week at least EUR 4.400,- with a willingness to overpay – depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally you will also take part in the Lenzing bonus system. We offer flexible working time and remote working options.
