Business Development / Key Account Manager for Brands & Retail (Spain)

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

  • You will support Brands / Retailer to develop products with Lenzing fibers
  • You will manage strong key client relationships on brand and retail level, acting as the primary contact for these accounts
  • You will connect brands and retailers with Lenzing value chain partners to put together cross-regional programs. This includes account-related travel of approx. 30-50% per month (10-12 days/month)
  • You will identify and capitalize on new business opportunities with existing and potential accounts
  • You will analyze brands / retailers to find opportunities to actively align with our communication and marketing team collaborations (storytelling, co-branding, POS promotions)
  • You will promote Lenzing's specialty fibers and provide support for clients' sales & marketing activities to generate demand, thus creating pull for fiber sales and driving premiumization
  • You will provide effective support in alignment with our global Lenzing teams and different departments for the implementation of accounts' sales & marketing activities, planning and execution 

Our expectations for this exciting role

  • You have deep knowledge of the textile/ fashion industry and excellent key account management skills, with a minimum of 8 years experience in the retail, fashion or textile industries or brand consulting
  • You have deep knowledge of the value creation process in the textile/fashion industry, gained through a relevant Commercial degree and equivalent experience, with an understanding of what motivates brand- and retail-level partners and the ability to think strategically
  • You are a passionate team player and show experience acting in a global structure to align with multiple departments
  • You have a high level of expertise in business development, either as a field sales manager or working in support of a key account manager in a textile/fashion environment
  • You have outstanding relationship-building and stakeholder-influencing skills; and a talent for translating customer needs and pain points into value-adding solutions
  • You have the ability to define and implement marketing initiatives and programs
  • You have a good understanding of supply chain management
  • You are fluent in Spanish & Business English
