Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

  • You will work alongside internal and external partners to initiate, plan & execute projects for the development & optimization of process steps
  • You will play a significant role in transferring project results to the commercial scale
  • You will plan the supervision & evaluation of pilot & commercial trials
  • You will manage the interfaces with multiple departments, including R&D infrastructure, Product Development, Quality, Legal, Business Management and Technical Customer Service
  • You will initiate & draft product, process & technology patents
  • You will execute literature and patent research

Our expectations for this exciting role

  • You hold an academic degree (University, FH) in (Chemical) Engineering; a natural science discipline; or Textile/Nonwoven Engineering
  • You have experience in the troubleshooting & optimization of lyocell processes; experience in nonwovens production and/or a background in sustainability-related topics would be advantageous
  • You are experienced in cross-functional working, and you have a mechanical aptitude for design changes & modifications
  • You have a problem-solving mindset, exceptional analytical skills, equipment vendor management skills, and strong computer skills
  • Project management skills & experience are beneficial; and Six Sigma, DOE and SPC experience would be a definite advantage
  • You are a self-motivated self-starter with good communication skills and a willingness to travel

The gross monthly salary for this position according to the collective agreement in the chemical industry is €4.400, with the willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience.
