Purpose of the role

Working as part of the Engineering team, you will solve complex engineering / process problems to maximise plant reliability, applying industry standard techniques in order to systematically identify and eliminate causes of engineering downtime for the site. You will help drive site-wide compliance with the reliability strategy, and maintain the alignment and engagement of all manufacturing departments.

Principal accountabilities & main tasks

  • You will develop and execute the asset reliability strategy, including leading and facilitating asset criticality studies, reliability focus groups, BAP, RCA’s, RBM studies, EPAC and FMECA.
  • You will facilitate reliability meetings, collating and communicating reliability data and action plans to maximise plant reliability; and identify and secure capital funding when necessary to implement plant reliability improvement
  • You will be responsible for the preventive & predictive maintenance strategies (PPM) including the review and definition of optimal PPM in order to minimize asset downtime
  • You will assist in driving down business costs by identifying and implementing reliability improvement projects.
  • You will liaise with Lenzing reliability communities, sharing best practice and learnings from reliability events
  • You will provide a technical engineering interface with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure reliability improvement engineering work is effectively implemented, particularly within planned shutdown events.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all SH&E matters are appropriately managed to meet internal and external requirements/standards, including your own work performance and behaviour


 


Our expectations for this exciting role

  • You have a working knowledge of maintenance and reliability tools, techniques and strategies, including FMEA, RCA, PPM, PdM and SAP PM Module
  • You have experience of developing and executing a reliability strategy, working in a reliability improvement role within a continuous manufacturing environment. Able to achieve business and team goals through KPI management
  • Able to work to deadlines with a flexible approach and provide effective communication at all levels
  • You can take responsibility for your own performance, but you are also a team player with a collaborative approach
  • You are able to collect, analyse and act on plant performance data, driving continuous improvement of reliability processes
  • You have great communication skills; a positive, can-do attitude; and the ability to organise, coordinate, inspire, motivate and encourage other team members

The annual salary for this role will be up to £70,000 (gross), depending on experience.
