Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

You are an experienced Strategy Manager, ideally at the (senior) project manager level in the chemicals or process industry and enjoy working on corporate, business and technology strategy topics. Several years of experience in an in-house or management consulting role brought your practice up to the latest state of the art strategy frameworks and tools to perfection. Your people-oriented approach, combined with an analytical eye and the talent to manage cross-cultural teams around the globe is your recipe for success and you are known to deliver projects and analyses that matter. With an intuition for better choices for the company and the environment, you prepare deals at the right time, you are keen to shape the future of the world-market leader in cellulose fibers made from wood. If you enjoy working closely with the Managing Board and would like to impact the future of a global sustainability player who set out to reshape the textile value chain, which includes many famous fashion brand, then managing strategic projects at the Lenzing Group might be a better choice for your career.

  • Manage strategy projects from start to finish by involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in the strategic and financial planning of the Lenzing Group
  • Lead diverse project teams and collaborate with internal / external departments
  • Develop business cases, prepare analyzes and financial models for decision-making with an eye on the environment, as well as the bottom line
  • Prepare documentation, analyses, as well as presentations for (Supervisory) Board meetings
  • Drive due diligences of potential acquisition targets
  • Support other M&A – or market intelligence related tasks 

Our expectations for this exciting role

  • Technical degree in Science / Engineering with a strong commercial sense or alternatively Economics / Finance Degree and / or international MBA
  • Deep knowledge in strategy development and project management
  • Hands-on experience in managing diverse, international, cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge and experience in Market Intelligence is a plus, occasional travel expected
  • Confident presentation and convincing communication skills
  • Very good English, German could be a strong plus
  • Responsible, strong sense ownership and autonomous working style

The annual gross salary for this position is oriented on the collective agreement in the chemical industry, based on 38 working hours / week at least EUR 68,000. - with a willingness to overpay – depending on qualifications and relevant experience, if the latter is substantial, the compensation per might exceed 100k.
Additionally you will also take part in the Lenzing bonus system.
