Fiber and pulp production at Lenzing: closing loops and driving change
TECHNOLOGY & PRODUCTION
Lenzing fibers are made from cellulose — the core component of plants. This material is formed through natural processes using sunlight, water, and CO₂, and serves as the basis for producing both aesthetic and high-performance fibers.
We continuously advance our technologies to support the efficient conversion of cellulose into fibers. Through decades of investment in research and development*, we have established processes designed to optimize resource use. These processes include high recovery rates of process inputs, efficient use of energy and water, and integrated production approaches such as our biorefinery concept.
