LENZING™ ECOVERO™ – Viscose made for the future of fashion

Our trusted brand partners

About the fiber

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are cellulosic viscose fibers derived from the natural raw material wood. Naturally lightweight, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers give woven and knitted fabrics a tactile softness and flowing drape.

The production processes of our fibers are continuously refined to maximize resource efficiency and minimize environmental impact. Consequently, carbon emissions and water consumption from LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fiber production are at least 50 percent lower compared to generic viscose fibers, according to Higg MSI.¹

Benefits

How you benefit from LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers

50 percent less water consumption

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are made with at least 50 percent less carbon emissions and water consumption compared to generic viscose.²

Responsible wood sources

The wood used as raw material for all LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers is sourced from certified³ or controlled wood sources.

Natural softness & drape

Naturally lightweight, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers give woven and knitted fabrics a tactile softness and flowing drape.

Tracing technology

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are produced with a molecular marker, ensuring the authenticity and traceability of our fibers even after processing into textile products.

EU Ecolabel

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are certified with the EU Ecolabel for high environmental standards throughout their life cycle.⁴

Biodegradability & compostability

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are certified for biodegradability and compostability in various environments.⁵

Applications

Explore the key applications of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers

Comes in black, stays in black

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are also available in black – they are produced in a special spin-dyeing process in which black color pigments are directly incorporated in the fibers. This can eliminate the need for additional downstream dyeing steps, resulting in up to 50 percent less energy and water consumption, while achieving up to a 60 percent reduction in carbon footprint compared to conventional dyeing.⁶

Garments made with LENZING™ ECOVERO™ black fibers can be washed with a minimized risk of color loss or transfer, allowing them to maintain their original appearance and color intensity for a longer period of time, even with prolonged exposure to sunlight.⁷

Breathing new life into textile waste

Embrace the future with our next-generation of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers utilizing the REFIBRA™ technology. Made by combining controlled or certified wood sources³ with pre- and post-consumer textile waste, this fiber contains a minimum of 20 percent recycled cotton that helps to further reduce the reliance on virgin materials. With LENZING™ ECOVERO™ x REFIBRA™ we are redefining circularity and driving positive impact for a more regenerative environment.

Technologies

Advanced technologies for LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers

REFIBRA™ technology

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers produced with REFIBRA™ technology use textile waste as a raw material, in addition to wood. The fibers contain a minimum of 20 percent recycled material.

Color technology

Fibers produced with this technology directly incorporate pigments during fiber production and, therefore, help avoid downstream and energy-intensive conventional dyeing processes.
