LENZING™ Magnesium-Lignosulphonate Biobased: incredibly versatile
About the product
Lignosulphonates are derived from lignin, a naturally occurring polymer found in wood that acts like glue holding the wood fibers together. Lignin is the second most abundant natural polymer on earth.
LENZING™ Magnesium-Lignosulphonate is a viscous liquid with approximately 60 percent dry substance derived from wood, which results in characteristic properties. The fact that Lenzing’s product is based on the cation Mg2+ makes it especially suitable for specific applications, such as ceramics.
The organic compound magnesium-lignosulphonate, which readily dissolves in water, is brown in color. It is used as a fixing and pelletizing auxiliary agent, as a dispersing agent in ceramics and concrete industry, and in many other ways.
