LENZING™ Hemilye for the paper and chemical industries
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Derived from the production of dissolving wood pulp, LENZING™ Hemilye consists of caustic soda enriched with dissolved hemicellulose. It takes the form of a brown liquid. Owing to its alkali content, hemilye is used in the sulphate pulping (Kraft) process of paper manufacturing to improve both yield gain and paper strength.
Lenzing Group’s sophisticated biorefinery process ensures that 100 percent of wood constituents are used, thus maximizing value creation from an economic and environmental perspective.
