Benefits
How body care products benefit from Lenzing fibers
Liquid management
The inherent properties of cellulosic fibers naturally regulate liquid absorption and release. This leads to a uniform distribution of the liquid within the fibers and by extension the personal care products made from them, offering an effective way to care for, and ultimately greater comfort, to your skin.
Derived from renewable wood
VEOCEL™ fibers are wood-based, derived from renewable wood sources¹ through a pulping process and finally made into fibers. VEOCEL™ fibers bring the inherent advantages of cellulose to personal care and hygiene products: natural absorbency, liquid distribution, biodegradability and versatility.
Biodegradability
VEOCEL™ fibers are biodegradable in soil, freshwater and marine conditions, and compostable under industrial and home conditions, thus they can return to nature.²
Gentle on skin
VEOCEL™ Lyocell fibers in nonwoven products are gentle on skin, especially suitable for beauty, body, and intimate products that come in direct contact with the skin, like baby wipes, facial cleansing wipes, moist toilet tissues and intimate care products.

3 These results were calculated using the Higg Materials Sustainability Index (Higg MSI) tools provided by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition. The Higg MSI tools assess impacts of materials from cradle-to-gate for a finished material (e.g. to the point at which the materials are ready to be assembled into a product). However, this figure only shows impacts from cradle to fiber production gate. VEOCEL™ branded fibers’ LCA results are represented by TENCEL™/ECOVERO™ data based on Higg MSI database v3.7 (December, 2023).
