LENZING™ Modal fibers have been tested by SQTS (Swiss Quality Testing Service), an independent external test institute and are verified to be suitable for food contact applications in dry fillings².

In cooperation with VPZ Verpackungszentrum GmbH, Lenzing has contributed to the development of the innovative Packnatur® reusable cellulose bag. The Packnatur® reusable cellulose bag, made of Lenzing's LENZING™ Modal fibers, is an alternative to plastic bags for packaging fruit and vegetables. This "world first" - made in Austria - has received more than 20 national and international awards, including the WorldStar Packaging Award 2018 in the Food Packaging category, the Silver Sustainability Award and the Bronze Presidential Award.
