Naturally sustainable

Thinking in cycles is the basis for the technology used in Paskov. In our pulp production we apply closed production cycles to the greatest possible extent, for example with respect to water. 100 percent of the wood is utilized in the biorefinery of Lenzing Biocel Paskov. We manufacture pulp, biorefinery products as well as energy from the wood.

Modern Lenzing technology enables the wood to be decomposed into pulp using the magnesium bisulfite method. The subsequent bleaching takes place without any harmful chlorine but on the basis of oxygen, hydrogen hyperoxide and ozone. Closed loop processes for chemicals and water are environmentally friendly and ensure a minimal use of fresh water.  As a result, Lenzing Biocel Paskov products high-quality pulp and valuable biorefinery products.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of our company’s values, especially as a key employer in the region. We actively support local cultural, educational, and sports initiatives, with a strong focus on sustainability and education in neighboring communities.

For over fifteen years, we have collaborated with the Academic Heyrovsky Secondary Industrial School of Chemicals in Ostrava, providing internships and supporting national student competitions, such as the Young Chemists Competition. In 2022, we contributed to the educational project All Life is Chemistry and continue to support the Technical Museum in Ostrava.

We actively promote the responsible use of forests as a raw material source and support the Wood of Life foundation. As part of this initiative, more than 200 children recently had the opportunity to explore forests with forestry experts and participate in practical activities. Additionally, a timber construction competition and an annual wood festival contribute to increasing awareness of sustainable forestry.
