Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

The Regional Sales Director (China) will own and steer the regional sales process for China, executing the Textile push-sales strategy to deliver volume, mix and margin targets. The role leads and coaches regional sales representatives, drives booking discipline and customer development, and secures stable recurring business through strong commercial execution and customer relationship management.

Main tasks & key accountabilities

  • You will develop and execute the regional territory push strategy for China, to achieve sales volume, mix, prices & CM3 Targets

  • You will lead, coach and steer China sales representatives via monthly & weekly reviews, using booking cadences, pipeline reviews and performance follow-up to ensure commercial rigor in daily sales execution, as well as enforcing pricing discipline and supporting negotiations

  • You will build and deepen relationships with priority spinners and customers in China, developing account-specific plans and increasing wallet share

  • You will work alongside Technical Customer Service (TCS) to orchestrate trials and technical conversion, in order to accelerate customer adoption

  • You will improve forecast accuracy, align demand signals with supply, monitor service levels, and support allocation decisions where needed

  • You will closely monitor competitor activities and cotton & yarn markets; track KPIs; monitor customer, competitor & pricing developments in China, and drive countermeasures to protect recurring business

Your ideal profile
  • You hold a university degree in Business, Textile Engineering, Materials Science or a related field; additional commercial training would be a plus

  • You have a minimum of 10 years related experience in Sales within the Textiles industry and a strong understanding of the spinner process

  • You have a proven track record in sales leadership and territory management, including customer relationship building, key account management, negotiation, pipeline management, push-sales execution, and pricing discipline

  • You are experienced in forecasting accuracy, market intelligence, and data-driven management

  • You are an effective communicator, with good coaching and team development skills, and a knack for cross-functional coordination

  • You are result-oriented and resilient, with strong operational discipline, and good problem solving and conflict management skills

  • You are fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) and prepared to travel intensively in the region
