Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:

As a Process Engineer at Lenzing Fibers, you’ll be a key driver of operational excellence—leading site-based projects, optimizing production systems, and enhancing process reliability. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced fiber technologies while collaborating across technical and operational teams to deliver sustainable, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute site-based engineering projects in close coordination with cross-functional teams and process technicians.

  • Maintain and improve production line performance through proactive process oversight and optimization.

  • Provide expert troubleshooting support to Process Technicians, ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues.

  • Operate within a PLC-based process control environment, contributing to automation strategies and system enhancements.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to generate actionable insights and technical reports.

  • Conduct risk assessments for equipment and processes, driving safety and compliance across operations.

Our expectations for this exciting role:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required)

Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial processing environment preferred

  • Strong understanding of process control systems and automation (PLC/DCS)

  • Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively across teams

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

  • Experience with data analysis tools and technical reporting

  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement
