Support both Process Safety as well as Operational Excellence initiatives, working with all departments to identify and implement continuous improvement processes across the facility achieving site goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing all necessary tasks related to the systematic continuous improvement process in safety, output, quality and efficiency.
Develop and execute a global Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy aligned with business goals.
Identify and implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, cost reduction, and operational agility
Monitor each project’s progress against the defined schedule, identify and escalate any potential issues or risks.
Review and confirm completeness of site-level improvement initiative plans
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress on CI initiatives, ensuring tangible business impact.
Leverage expertise in PI vision, Power BI, and digital tools to drive data-driven insights, optimize KPIs, and enhance operational excellence across initiatives
Drive cross-functional collaboration to break down silos and integrate CI principles across departments.
Foster engagement with senior leadership to ensure alignment and sponsorship of CI initiatives
Serve as a change agent, ensuring a structured approach to driving transformation and innovation.
Support C02 reduction roadmap initiative through energy efficiency improvements.
Evaluate new process technology working with Global R&D.
Oversee MOC process, including control systems and risk assessments.
Lead PHA's and HAZOP's
Primary point of collaboration with Global Process Safety and implement safety management programs and internal audits.
Mentor and partner with others to ensure process adherence in process safety and improvement.
Education:
B.S. degree in Engineering - (Chemical Engineering preferred)
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
5+ years Industrial experience with minimum 3 years Process Safety experience is preferred.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership.
Familiar with SharePoint, PI Vision and other digital tools to track data and/or derive data-driven decisions
Continuous improvement & process optimization using Lean Six Sigma or similar tools.
Financial acumen, cost-benefit analysis & risk assessment.
Analytical, communication, cross-cultural and team facilitation skills
Technical/operational knowledge in fiber manufacturing preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
