As well as performing internal audit jobs in an international business context, the Global Internal Audit Manager will provide best practice knowledge and recommendations to contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and the control environment, assure compliance with legislative and internal regulations, and protect the company from exposure to misconduct or fraud.
Key tasks & main responsibilities:
You will plan, lead and conduct internal audit activities throughout the Lenzing Group (at Headquarters; on group level; or at individual sites) in an efficient and flexible manner, keeping to best practice, respecting internal audit standards, and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and independent auditor’s opinion
You will report directly to the Senior Director of Corporate Audit & Risk Management, providing information about ongoing activities, risk detection, and any other relevant details for audit conduct or planning
You will cooperate with auditees and with other departments as well as top management
You will be involved in the yearly audit planning on a risk-based approach; contribute to reporting activity towards the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board; and participate in knowledge-sharing and improvement process of auditing process as well as internal consulting services to improve the control environment
You will follow up on audit recommendations and actions (to be carried out by auditees)
You hold a university degree, preferably in Business Administration
You have a relevant audit qualification, and/or multiple years in audit function, ideally in an international environment
You have good knowledge of financial auditing (previous external/internal audit experience is required); internal control procedures; corporate governance and compliance; and accounting know-how
You are fluent in English, both spoken and written, with additionally at least B2 German
You have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills; good IT skills (SAP and MS application are crucial); you are willing to undertake some international travel; and you have a high level of confidentiality
