Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

Lenzing Fibers Grimsby is seeking to appoint an E&I and Facilities Planner on a full-time basis. As a member of the Engineering team, reporting to the E&I Lead Engineer, the E&I Facilities Planner will be responsible for the planning of E&I works and day to day co-ordination of Facilities buildings maintenance and work associated with external maintenance contracts.

**Main tasks & key responsibilities

**

  • Prioritise, plan and co-ordinate facilities and building maintenance work alongside the E&I team leader, and co-ordinate external maintenance service contract work on plant assets

  • Prioritise, plan and co-ordinate asset inspections and remedial work resulting from the Ageing Plant program and statutory inspection requirements

  • Scope, identify and purchase the materials needed to carry out required work, and specify suitable alternatives if required. Plan for contractors, suppliers and specialists to visit the site, and supervise them whilst onsite

  • Ensure that SHE matters are appropriately managed throughout your area of responsibility to meet external and internal requirements/standards, including your own work performance and behaviour

  • Ensure work carried out is controlled and documented using the maintenance systems. Report, record and communicate the condition of the equipment at all stages of work in progress using SAP and the company portal

  • Provide a practical engineering interface with senior engineers, the Maintenance team, and the Process teams, to ensure that engineering work is effectively organised

  • Identify and implement engineering solutions to improve plant availability, reduce costs, and maintain building/facility standards/working environment.

Your ideal profile
  • A time served experienced technician with an E&I background

  • Numerate and computer literate, with knowledge of SAP

  • Capable of coordinating and supervising a team of contractors

  • Able to effectively plan and implement engineering work

  • Knowledge and understanding of E&I systems, with awareness of statutory and non-statutory requirements for compliance of facilities

  • Strong health and safety awareness, with experience of permit-to-work systems

  • Recognised engineering discipline apprenticeship

  • NVQ Level 3 in E&I discipline

  • NEBOSH Certificate preferred

The annual gross salary for this position, based on a 38-hour working week (Monday – Friday, 08:00 to 16:10), will be in the region of £45,000 - £48,000 per year.
