Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor in managing Mechanical and I&E technicians, along with contractor personnel working within the engineering department.

  • Assist with maintaining engineering drawings and documentation systems, ensuring accuracy and timely updates as revisions are implemented.

  • Help track plant maintenance budgets, providing cost/benefit evaluations to support maximum plant reliability within available resources.

  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Engineering, and Maintenance & Reliability Manager to coordinate day‑to‑day maintenance activities, including assigning tasks, verifying completion, and providing technical troubleshooting on critical issues.

  • Enforce strict utilization of our planned maintenance systems to log, track, and complete all work orders, ensuring zero unrecorded maintenance is performed.

  • Assist with storeroom inventory control using MLS inventory software and support supervision of the storeroom clerk.

  • Evaluate the individual strengths of the current team, identify technical gaps, and implement structured training programs (cross-training mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills).

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments.

Our expectations for this exciting role:
  • Completion of a recognized 4‑year mechanical apprenticeship program, Associate’s degree, or Technical degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial environment required; supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with computer software including Excel, Word, AutoCAD, SAP, and related systems is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and systematic problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

  • Solid mechanical comprehension and familiarity with industrial equipment and systems.

  • Familiarity with standard maintenance strategies such as planning, PM programs, RCA, and spare parts inventory management.

  • Demonstrates steady leadership under the pressures of continuous plant operations, with a commitment to resolving issues at the root cause

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, with demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
