Biological treatment - BIOGAT

Case Tech, Germany
Treatment in four columns at 66.000 m3 per hour with concentrations of CS2/m3 at 400 mg and H2S/m3 at 100 mg.
The plant has been successfully in operation since 1994. Efficiency: H2S up to 98%, CS2 up to 90%

Baoding Swan, China
Four columns processing 100,000 m3/h. H2S up to 400 mg/m3, CS2 up to 400 mg/m3

Fabelta Ninove, Belgium
Step 1: four columns processing 100,000 m3/h. H2S: 57 mg/m3, CS2: 460 mg/m3

Futamura, Japan
Six columns processing 150.000 m3/h. H2S up to 260 mg/m3, CS2 up to 800 mg/m3

Biological treatment - BRI Bioreaction

Sherwin-Williams - Victorville, USA
Paint industry: This full scale 42.500 m3/h system utilizes four 4m diameter x 9m tall bio chambers. One is a biotrickling chamber and the other three are biomatrix chambers. The plant manufactures a variety of paints and the vapors from the mixing process have been ducted and fed into the system. The VOC loadings of the air stream are in the mid three digit ppm range. The removal efficiency of these compounds has met the customer’s and the Mohave Air Quality Management District needs.

Marisol, Inc. - Bound Brook, USA
Wood industry: This 1.700 m3/h six month pilot treated the vapors coming from this chemical waste treatment facility. The system treated short duration spikes of up to 3.000ppm and reduced it down to a non-detect odor level at the site fence line.

MDF - Hallein, Austria
Wood industry: Pilot plant trial for Formaldehyde removal of an MDF-production.

J.M. Huber - Broken Bow, USA
Wood industry: 270.000 m3/h system for the >90 % Formaldehyde and Methanol removal as well as >70 % VOC removal out of a continous OSB-press.

Louisiana-Pacific - Thomasville, USA
Wood industry: 270.000 m3/h system for the control of >90% Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) (mostly methanol and formaldehyde) and >75% Total Hydro Carbons (THC) (pinenes and terpines) from the board press.

Weyerhaeuser – Elkin, USA
Wood industry: 190.000 m3/h System designed to control >90% HAPs generated from OSB Mill Press vent. The inlet temperature can reach up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. This full scale system has approximately 10,752 cubic feet of Bio-airSPHERES and Bio-trickling cross-flow Media.

Foster Farms - Creswell, USA
Rendering plant: This 1.700 m3/h six month pilot showed the reduction of multiple sulfur based, non-condensable, high intensity odors down to non-detect from an olfactory perspective.

City of Wilsonville, USA
Municipal odor control: This full scale 13.500 m3/h system (two 4m diameter x 7m tall bio vessels) was put in place after an in-ground bio system failed. The BRI system has been on-line since mid-June, 2005. It controls the odors emitted from all processes from this site. These odors are ducted together to the inlet of the system. The system treats H2S, mercaptans, reduced sulfur compounds and handles fairly high loadings of ammonia.
