Pulp sourcing policy
The Lenzing Group is an ecologically responsible company and operates in a sustainable manner.
Business unit Pulp is part of Lenzing‘s fiber value creation chain. It is responsible for providing pulp of specified quality and quantity to all of the Group‘s fiber producing sites, as well as for marketing and selling its by-products.
To the utmost extent possible, we source wood and wood pulp from certified forests and pulp suppliers
We avoid using wood which has been harvested:
- illegally
- in violation of traditional and civil rights
- from forests of high conservation value
- from forests converted to plantations or to non-forest use
- from forests or plantations growing genetically modified trees
