45th Man-made Fibers Congress in Dornbirn/Austria

The 45th Dornbirn man-made fibers congress (Dornbirn MFC) meets all expectations as the leading European/American event in the field of man-made fibers. With more than 700 participants from more than 30 countries, Dornbirn will be the textile centre of the world from 20 – 22 September 2006.
More than 80 lectures will deal with the following four subjects:
- Developments in yarns and fibers
- Technical textiles and textile composites
- Nonwovens and
- Wellbeing and health with textiles
With this programme the Dornbirng man-made fibers congress will encourage on one hand the dialogue between man-made fiber producers, machine and auxiliary manufacturers, non-woven producers, processing companies and on the other hand the cooperation in research and development between industry, universities and research institutes.

The supervisory board of Lenzing AG today announced that they will propose Peter Untersperger as their new chairman as of 1 January 2009 to the company's management board. Peter Untersperger currently is head of finance and will succeed Thomas Fahnemann, who is to join RHI AG.
