Lenzing - promotes the textile chain

15.06.1999

At Expofil in Paris Lenzing AG is exhibiting against the backdrop of the textile machinery fair, the ITMA. This fair which is taking place parallel to the Expofil was taken as an opportunity to show machine manufacturers at the Expofil booth of Lenzing AG in a favourable light. Lenzing was able to enlist the support of a large number of co-operation partners who will process fibres from Lenzing at the ITMA and will in some cases also exhibit finished products at their booths. Synergies from both fairs can, therefore, be put to optimum use.

June 99

Reputed textile machine manufacturers, from spinning to finishing techniques, agreed to take part in this unusual operation "Lenzing" will exhibit against the backdrop of the ITMA". For a fibre manufacturer the entire textile processing industry represents an important target group - after all success can only be guaranteed as a result of joint co-operation work.

In the spinning section the following companies will be represented with Lenzing products:

Messrs. Schlafhorst will show the new Autocoro 288 at the ITMA, with a new Corobox SE 11. A Modal/cotton blend will be used on this machine and then finely spun at the fair. With Lyocell Schlafhorst is backing knit wear and will present knit wear of 100% Lyocell and blends with cotton in a "Boutique" specially set up for this purpose. An interesting new development will be shown by the terry towelling manufacturers RZ Dyckhoff: a Lyocell/cotton terry towelling fabric with an OE yarn.

For the first time Trützschler will show Lyocell at the ITMA on the latest high performance card DK 903 (the successor of DK 803). Moreover, denim articles made of 2.2 dtex Lyocell fibre can be viewed at the Trützschler booth.

Articles of Modal and blends with Modal are on show at the Rieter AG booth in the form of woven and knitted goods. Lyocell is processed on the latest ring spinning machine G 33, with a new kind of cop changing system without any underthreads and a multi-drafting system to change the yarn count in less than one minute.

Circular knitting machine-manufacturers back Modal:

Micro Modal demonstrates its strength and variety on machines from Mayer & Cie and Terrot in a circular knitting machine for close terry towelling goods - ideal for slumber-wear and comfortable casual wear. Thanks to Micro Modal , these terry towelling articles become even softer and more leasant to wear next to the skin.

Finishing with Lyocell:

The Petra from Biancalani was used to treat Lenzing Lyocell. This is a modular machine for the continuous smoothing of fabrics surfaces at open width. The fabric was then tumble-dried in the AIRO 1000. The outcome is a soft and velvety Lenzing Lyocell superb for smooth ladies' outer wear.

Lyocell is well represented at the Sclavos booth. The Sclavos Twin Soft Flow Concept is perfectly tuned to Lyocell. Sclavos developed a high temperature dyeing machine for rope dyeing and is presenting the results: the Peach Skin and Silk Touch effect in 100 % Lenzing Lyocell.

Scholl will exhibit the "Softglider" which is ideal for Lyocell. This dyeing machine opens the fabric like a parachute and helps to obtain a crease-free product.
