Lenzing AG Postpones Dates. Changes in Supervisory Board

On account of current events, Lenzing AG has decided to postpone the date for its 58th Regular Shareholders' Meeting. Instead of on 16 May, the meeting will probably be scheduled for the end of June. The dates for the announcement of the balance-sheet results 2001, as well as for the disclosure of the first-quarter results 2002 are also postponed.

The new dates will be announced, as soon as they have been fixed.

Lenzing AG also takes this opportunity to announce that, on the occasion of the Supervisory Board meeting on Monday, 15 April, Karl Schmutzer, B & C Holding GmbH, was elected to become the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Mag. Wolfgang Peter, Bank Austria Slovenia, is the new Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board. On 7 March, Mag. Ewald Nageler, who had been chairman until that date, had announced his resignation, due to changes in his professional activities.
