The Lenzing Group: Incident at Heiligenkreuz Plant

At about 15.00 hrs. an explosion, resulting in a fire, occurred at the Heiligenkreuz plant.
According to currently available information, four persons suffered minor injuries. In the meantime the fire, which caused considerable damage to property, has been extinguished.
Thomas Fahnemann, Chairman of the Board of Management, and Franz Raninger, Member of the Board of Management, will inspect the damage on site tomorrow morning and launch all further steps. A team of experts has already arrived on the site in order to identify the causes of the incident. Lenzing AG's Board of Management will begin with the repair work immediately after the cause of the incident has been established so that production can be re-commenced as soon as possible.
The Board of Management thanks all helpers in this emergency for their expedient help.
