High tenacity despite the low weight

This is Lenzing’s standard film which can be used universally in all kinds of applications. The film’s properties are, however, not ”standard” by a long chalk. The solid polypropylene film is characterised by its high tenacity compared to polyester.

It has a very good dielectric strength and is resistant to all cable materials which makes it a universal and favourably priced alternative to polyester. The low basis weight emphasises this advantage yet again. Moreover, the Lenzing type, PP-K, does not absorb any moisture which is the reason why it can be applied in different constructions.

The solid alternative in cable applications

The solid polypropylene film can be economically used for all cable applications. Used as a reinforcement helix, an insulating division film or as a practical processing aid, the solid PP-K film satisfies all requirements.

Resistant, economical and universally applicable, the solid polypropylene film has proven itself to be a real alternative to polyester. Tried and tested many times over, the PP-K film is a persuasive element in all fields of cable production.
