Key benefits and properties
Lenzing fibers are made from the sustainable, renewable resource wood and combine their natural properties with the advantages of a man-made fiber. They are fully biodegradable and provide natural absorbency and softness to nonwoven products.
Absorbency
Due to their inherent waterholding capacity, Lenzing cellulosic fibers are the first choice for nonwoven applications where absorbency is the primary key parameter. Unlike synthetic fibers, the diameter of cellulosic fibers increases significantly in the wet state.
Biodegradability
Lenzing fibers are fully biodegradable. In soil burial, the fiber naturally breaks down within weeks.
