Lenzing AG in the Voenix Sustainability-Index

For the third time Lenzing AG is within the 21 most sustainable exchange-noted companies in Austria.

The Voenix - VBV-Austrian Sustainability-Index - is a stock index, consisting of exchange noted Austrian companies, which are leaders in terms of social and ecological achievements. On 23rd of June the new composition of the VOENIX became effective. About 70 companies were analyzed and 21 have been included in the VÖNIX 2008/2009.

Sustainability is a balance between environment, society and economy without negative influence on the needs of future generations.

Wood is good Lenzing Viscose® and TENCEL® are produced from cellulose. The wood pulp, which is the raw material for Lenzing fibers, is derived from sustainably managed forest areas. Lenzing fibers for nonwovens are naturally pure and absorbent like the cellulose they are derived from sustainably managed forest areas.

100% biodegradable Lenzing Fibers come from nature and return to nature: Nonwoven fabrics made from Lenzing Viscose® and TENCEL® have been certified and registered by DIN CERTCO as compostable materials.
