THE SYMPOSIUM: A HIGH-RANKING MEETING OF EXPERTS
Lenzing is holding an eco symposium in the Botanic Gardens in Paris. The Lenzing platform offers the textile branch possibilities to exchange experience on environmental trends and meet experts from a range of different companies.
NEW STUDIES
Within the framework of the symposium, Lenzing is presenting the results of the life cycle analysis for the very first time. This was carried out by the University of Utrecht and displays cellulose fibers in comparison to other fibers for the first time. In addition the results of the botany tests of the Institute for Applied Botany and Pharmacognosy will be presented. Lenzing farmed out this research work to gain insight into the botanic essences contained in Lenzing Modal® and TENCEL®.
EVENING EVENT “LIVING BOTANIC”
In the evening, guests will be treated to an outstanding literary performance featuring botanic insights. The amphitheatre of the Botanic Gardens offers an attractive
backdrop. It will be a pleasure for us to invite you to dinner after the event. The evening event can be attended also without participating at the symposium.

Lenzing FR® is a cellulose fiber which has been proven to provide exceptionally high heat protection. Protective clothing wearers’ physiological performance power was examined in an extensive study. The results were presented to specialists at Interschutz 2010 together with the author of the study, Univ.-Prof. Herfried Pessenhofer.
