MicroModal®  – the world’s softest fiber
MicroModal® – the softest fiber made by Lenzing – is the perfect fiber for lingerie applications. Fabrics of MicroModal® are feather-light and natural skin huggers. Reputed manufacturers (from Bruno Banani to Calida) use 100% MicroModal® for their lingerie collections. The 1.0 dtex fiber with the particularly fine fiber cross-section is the perfect partner for blending with long-staple cotton since both fibers have similar properties. The natural starting material for MicroModal® is beech wood from sustainably managed forests.
This natural raw material guarantees ideal wear properties since the fiber is gentle to the skin. Products of this micro quality are persuasive in both their handle and fineness. Blends with the noblest materials, such as silk and cashmere, produce extremely fine and ultra-light textiles new to the textile world as  MicroModal® can be spun into extremly fine yarns – for lingerie like a touch of nature.

TENCEL® in the Active Wear sector
There is a trend towards natural fibers in the Active-Wear sector as well: the natural functions of the cellulose fiber TENCEL® are a persuasive force in the active wear sector, offering perfect solutions as TENCEL® adjusts itself perfectly to the properties of the skin.

Moisture management by Nano fibrils
TENCEL® is a unique cellulose fiber. Nanofibrils in the fiber itself take care of perfect moisture management when working out. Submicroscopic canals between the individual nanofibrils regulate moisture absorption and release and thereby guarantee optimum skin microclimate management. In contrast, synthetic fibers do not absorb any moisture all, instead leaving a thin film of moisture on the fiber.

The natural stay-fresh fiber
TENCEL® stops formation of bacteria right from the start as moisture is immediately removed from the skin and transferred into the inside of the fiber: Therefore no water film on the fiber which could form the basis of bacterial growth.
Tests show that TENCEL® produces the lowest bacterial growth rates: Without the use of chemical additives, TENCEL® prevents an increase in the number of bacteria. Synthetic fibers on the other hand, show an increase in bacterial growth 2,000 times higher than compared to TENCEL®.
