Lenzing Fibers back innovations from Korea

Lenzing Innovation Studio
With a Korean „Lenzing Innovation Center“ Lenzing has given a vote of confidence to the textile industry and is promoting the creativity of local fabric manufacturers. The goal is to promote global competitiveness and offer the very best in terms of technical support for high-quality fabrics. A project of this kind was successfully initiated last season. Nineteen Korean companies took part in this unique form of cooperation. The companies were supported in their development work with information about trends and markets and a marketing program. The collection which resulted from this was presented at the world’s most important fabric trade fairs such as Première Vision and Texworld in Paris, Intertextile in Shanghai and Hong Kong as well as at trade fairs in the USA. Moreover the fabrics are promoted worldwide by the international Merchandising Team of Lenzing.
Cooperation programs
Another regular feature in the marketing activities of Lenzing Fibers is the Lenzing satellite booth at the PIS Fabric Fair in Seoul. The service provided by this satellite booth was highly appreciated by customers. Hence the decision to host this booth at the next trade fair.
Fabric creativity competition
Twenty-six participants accepted the invitation from Lenzing and took part in a regional competition. A jury comprising 30 international fabric experts evaluated the fabrics which had been submitted. The awards were presented to the winners at the Lenzing Fiber Show „FiberMovement“ on 4.12. in Seoul.
Lenzing Fiber Movement
The Lenzing Fiber Movement is a unique show. The show does not feature fashion but rather pays tribute to Lenzing Fibers. Lenzing Modal®, TENCEL® and Lenzing Viscose® are brought to life on the stage by means of a dance performance. In a new and unconventional way, dancers symbolize the applications and properties of Lenzing fibers.
• TENCEL® - the new age fiber - with its wide-ranging fiber properties such as skin sensory properties and moisture management is an ideal choice for sportswear and home textiles/bed clothes. A dance with lengths of cloth symbolizes the unlimited possibilities of TENCEL®.
• With its ultimate softness factor, Lenzing Modal® - makes the world a softer place -makes every textile suppler and softer. The dance performance illustrates the perfect partnership enjoyed by Lenzing Modal® and cotton. The interpretation is both creative and inspiring.
The Fiber Show Lenzing Fiber Movement was presented in Paris on the occasion of the fabric fairs Texworld and Première Vision for the very first time and is currently on tour in Asia. After Mumbai, Taipei and Shanghai, it is now on in Seoul. The international show group CAPA is performing this dance show exclusively for Lenzing.
