Vienna/Lenzing, April 24, 2013. The Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of Lenzing AG resolved to distribute a dividend of EUR 2.00 per share for the 2012 financial year (compared to EUR 2.50 per share for the previous year). This consists of a minimum dividend of EUR 1.75 per share as well as an anniversary bonus of EUR 0.25 per share on the occasion of the company’s 75 years in business. The dividend payment has been scheduled for April 30, 2013, with April 26, 2013 set as the ex-dividend day.
Consortium led by Invest AG is the new owner
The Lenzing Group has published a new report on its activities pertaining to the issue of sustainability entitled “Focus Sustainability – Taking Responsibility for Our Business.” The report focuses on fibers, the core segment of the Lenzing Group, which accounts for 90% of consolidated sales. For the first time, the contents of the report are geared to the standards contained in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). In Lenzing’s view it fulfills the requirements of Application Level B in accordance with GRI requirements. The new report is based on figures and information from the 2011 financial year and in part from 2012.

Lenzing AG and NanoCarbons LLC, Fort Lauderdale (Florida, USA), will cooperate in the future to develop and explore the use of new activated carbons in electrode technology. This technology is based on a combination of Lenzing’s TENCEL® fibers and the technology provided by NanoCarbons LLC. After extensive research Lenzing constructed a new pilot production facility to take the technology forward.
